Since this is what I'm making for dinner tonight, I figured I'd share the recipe.
It was one of my favorites growing up, and definitely is a "comfort food" for me.

1lb lean ground beef
1 can golden mushroom soup
1 can new peas (do not drain!)
1 12 oz package extra wide egg noodles

Prepare noodles as directed, drain.
Brown ground beef and drain.
Into the same pot, add the soup and the canned peas, including the liquid. Mix together and heat through. Serve over noodles.
Makes about 4 servings. Very good the next day, even eaten cold!

Note-I have used ground turkey instead of ground beef, but it results in a somewhat gamey taste.
